In newer versions of Office (2019, 2021, 2024 and Microsoft 365), you can use the Draw tab. This allows you to insert your own freehand drawings into your documents. I use this option to give my files a personal touch with sketches or small illustrations.

Mark cells in Excel as you would with a highlighter

The Draw tab is available in Excel. This is how quickly you can highlight some cells:
