Here’s how to check if an update is available for your cell phone

Here’s the deal: Through regular updates, your phone receives software improvements from the manufacturer. Most importantly, however, these updates repeatedly fix newly discovered security vulnerabilities. Attackers could exploit these vulnerabilities, for example, to spy on your data. Unfortunately, your phone doesn’t always notify you when a new update is available.
